1. Find the client in your Accounts, or create a new client
From the Accounts page, type the client name into the Search field and select the “Apply” button. Select the client's name to open that client's summary page.
To create a new client, select the "+ New Client" button in the dark navigation bar at the top of any page, or the green "Create New Client' button from the homepage.
2. Start a new submission
From the account details page, select the green “Start New Submission” button to begin a new submission.
3. Select Coverages
Enter an effective date and "Need By" date for the new policy. Then select the desired lines of coverage from the list.
Tip: Type a word into the filter field to reduce the number of coverages shown thus making them easier to find. Try it!
4. Select the carriers
Choose the carrier(s) you would like to market to from the list of available carriers. This list consists of carrier appointments set by your Agency Administrator. If one of your appointed carriers is missing from the list, please tell your Admin.
Tip: Any carrier that offers instant quoting via the Internet of Insurance will display a green 'automated' box before the carrier name. Carriers designated as 'manual' will need to quote the submission through the human path.
5. Attach documents
All documents that have been saved to the client will be displayed in this step. Check the box next to any document you would like included in the submission. Check the "Select All" box on the top of the document list to include all documents shown.
To upload additional documents select the “Upload Documents” button. All new documents sent with a submission are automatically saved to the client’s account.
Tip: Documents are automatically tagged by the system so that you can easily find them later in the 'documentation' tab on the client.
6. Select your recipients
Lastly, for each carrier you selected, choose the underwriter(s) you'd like to receive your submission. There is an option to manually add an email address if one is missing from the list. You can also add a personalized message to send with your submission - this can be customized on an underwriter-by-underwriter basis.
Tip: Underwriters who have set their appetite in the Copilot are analyzed to see if they're a good fit for your submission. A green check indicates a good match!
7. Review and send your submission!
You're ready to go! Review your submission on the final review page, then send it out and wait for the quotes to roll in!
